The train is the best and simplest route from Heathrow. Catch the Heathrow Express to London Paddington. From there catch the London Underground to Kings Cross St Pancras Station. There you can catch numerous trains to Hatfield, Stevenage or Welwyn Garden City. Please note, these trains run from Kings Cross. If you need to get to St Albans, then you need to take the same Underground route but instead of the exit for Kings Cross, you need to take the exit for St Pancras International. Kings Cross and St Pancras International are next door to each other and are served by the same Underground stop. Alternatively, you could catch a black cab (taxi) from Paddington Station to either Kings Cross or St Pancras International. You will see some of London en route!
Travel by Train - Eurostar
- You can travel into London St Pancras International by train (Eurostar) from Brussels, Paris and Amsterdam. Eurostar brings you straight into the heart of London. If you are travelling to Hatfield, Welwyn Garden City, or Stevenage, it is a short walk from St Pancras International to Kings Cross where you will be able to catch a train to any of these destinations. Trains to St Albans leave from St Pancras International so it is an even shorter walk to catch the train to St Albans (which takes approximately 20-30 minutes).
